Scotland ready for Euros / Fixtures

Scotland’s men have the toughest possible start to their European Championship campaign on Monday when they face favourites Denmark.
Tom Campbell’s side go into the tournament in Valetta without captain Gareth Murray after the Glasgow Rocks forward accepted a lucrative short-term deal with Malaysian side Perak.
However guard Steve Leven, who led the side in scoring their warm-up games, insists the Scots can progress from a group that also includes minnows Malta and San Marino.
“I think we’re going to shock some people,” said the Great Britain cap. “We’ve really come together and things have fitted well in the games we’ve played over the last month.”
Meanwhile Scotland’s women claimed third place in their European Championships as 28 points from Gillian Baird sparked an 88-67 win in a play-off against Moldova. Malta took the title by beating hosts Armenia 74-65.
